You have some decisions to make when considering a night vision system. First and foremost how much money do you want to spend. Generation 1 systems can be as low as $100 while the exotic systems like thermal imaging will be over $10,000 and Gen 4 are usually over $2500.

Once you decide on a budget, you have to decide how you are going to use them. Many people like to mount them on their markers. Just remember if you do mount the NV on your marker the eyepiece will have to be much larger (as it is farther from your eyes). The larger the eye piece normally the more expensive the NV system.

I have always used a flip down system that is permanently mounted on my night goggles. Again, you have to remember that because the eye piece rest against your goggles you will loose some resolution. That is resolved by buying a higher Generation 2, 3, or 4 with a larger eyepiece.

Whatever you decide, a NV system (even an inexpensive one) will bring a whole new dimension to your game. Once you have used a set you'll never want to play without one again.
